Shanghai school adopts ancient Chinese methods (Reuters via Yahoo! Asia News)
SHANGHAI (Reuters) - A controversial new school in Shanghai is turning to ancient Chinese teaching methods, including rote memorisation and recitation of the classics, to prepare its students for China's competitive economy.
It seems China is going back to its past to better face its future. Sometimes we get caught up in all the new ways to do things and think they are better just because they are new, but that is not necessarily so.
